Saturday, April 5: Game Day(?)

There's a YouTube show from Geek and Sundry, TableTop, hosted by Wil Wheaton (perhaps best know as Wesley Crusher on Star Trek: the Next Generation), about playing board games. They held an International TableTop Day that was quite popular, so they're doing it again this Saturday.

I thought it might be fun to take some games in to play on Saturday, though not as a formal TableTop Day event: just using it as an excuse/inspiration. I'm committing to be there for the day and will bring a few games. I'll note that I've only played each a couple of times (except for Monopoly, which someone suggested when I brought up the idea yesterday), and it's been a while for all of them, thus I am definitely not an expert who is to be feared as an opponent. There will be no pressure to play, and if nobody wants to, that's fine. On the other hand, if you want, bring your own! We can see what looks most interesting to people there who want to play.

Edited to add: I'm not talking about having a bunch of games being played all at once, taking over a huge amount of space, just having a game being played if desired from a choice of a few. We take up more space with people and signs during the week than what I was imagining, especially since we only tend to have 2-3 people at a time on weekends. Chris made the point on Twitter about it being a possible issue with security, so perhaps someone who is there today/tomorrow could check?
